“There is still much work to be done, but welcomes the involvement of top European officials in the process who want to initiate that dialogue”, Hill told Serbian media.
Hill also talked about Serbia's relations with Russia, whose impact he said has a major and negative impact on the energy situation in Serbia.
“We all know about these difficulties, but my opinion is that Serbia realized it had to leave (from Russia) and I think we are seeing progress, that Serbia is doing what it has to do. Progress was also seen in New York, when Serbia joined another 145 countries to condemn Russia's attack on its neighbour”, the US ambassador stressed.
Hill added that they try to co-operate even closer “than never before” with Serbia.
