The feature feature film of the long meter “Illyricm”, by script and directed by Simon Bogojevelic Narath, co-production of Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Kosovo and Bosnia, will be presented tonight as premiered by 8:00 in Cineplexx in Pristina
Fatmir Spahiu, who in addition to the producer's work, has a role in this film, during a conversation on the “Radar” with Edita Dolly, on Radio Dukaagjini, has said this film is special to the fact that it is the first project where we watch the Illyrians walk, speak, exist.
“Illyricvm is the first cinematographic production where the Illyrians are personified. Back in 36 B.C.E., when many Illyrian principles were then under Roman conquest or rule. The fact that for the first time in world cinematography is heard and spoken by ancient Illyrian” has said Spahiu.
Producer Spahiu has said further that he is very happy for the large number of actors participating in the project.
“in this film is included in a large cast of Kosovo actors, which are: Ylber Bardhi, Labeat Bytyqi, Kuqrim Hoxha, Ilir Prapshtica, Rina Krasniqi, Bujar Ahmetaj, Dukagjin Podrimaj, Armend Smajli, Lulzim Bucoli, Ali Demi, Fatmir Spahiu, Selman Lokaj, Gian Morina...”, Spahiu said.
The film was shot in three states: Bosnia, Croatia and a piece in Italy. Asked why there were no shootings in Kosovo, Spahiu has said that they should talk about it from the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Finance.
This is a broad topic and should be spoken by the Ministry of Culture and Finance. We have had plans to do some shooting in Rugova and in the villages of Shkrel and Restelica, but because Kosovo has not arranged the return of the rabat, this has made it impossible to perform the shoot” Spahiu said.
The film “Illyricm” is supported by the Kosovo Cinematographer Centre Hrvatski Audiozuelni Centar, Slovenski Filmski Centar, FRIULI-VENEZIA GIULIA LAST, V IBA PISM, the Culture Ministry of Sarajevo Canton, Euroimages, as well as the Pristina Community and the company known to use the law on sponsorship.
The film “Illicrivm” has its premiere world premiere at the Pula Festival in Croatia, and in Pristina it will be presented tonight on October 28th, in Cineplex where, after this date, it will then be in this cinema's workshop.
