The competent Swiss authorities are in contact with Serbian authorities at different levels. In particular, Federal Police have launched an exchange of information with Serbia's police at the police level. Trades and meetings have already occurred between federal police and Serbia's police authorities. This exchange is professional and constructive and will continue”, the Swiss Prosecutor General's Office have said.

This measure, the Swiss say, is part of a series of actions that have been taken and that the exchange between police in the two states has occurred in close consultation with the Swiss Attorney General's Office.

A departure from Switzerland's Attorney General has said that the threat level and safeguard clauses for Dick Marty are constantly valued, however, have stressed that it can further deepen in detail.

“to ensure security, Federal Police have taken broad safeguards based on regular assessments of the situation, including security in Mr. Marty (this includes so - called narrow protection when it appears in public spaces or technical safety measures in its home, for example). These safeguard clauses have been implemented in co-operation with cantonal police. The threat situation and protective measures are constantly valued. However, you will understand that we are not providing any further information on the safety of our defenses. ”, said by Switzerland's Attorney General.

Swiss authorities have confirmed that by December 2020 the threat issue against Dick Marty is being addressed. Since both Serbia and political components are involved in the case, then Switzerland's Attorney General has taken a number of comprehensive measures.

In an interview with Switzerland's public television, Dick Marty, whose claims led to the establishment of the Kosovo Special Court in The Hague, had said it was put under armed protection at his home by the end of 2020 due to the threat to his life, as Serbian intelligence services said.

The “Threatening appears to come from certain Serbian intelligence services circles, which have urged professional underground killers to liquidate and simply blame people from Kosovo for this”, he declared during the interview.

Marty during the interview stand had also shown that his house is equipped with security cameras and a safe room in case of need, while the police are located near where they live. He had shown that when he goes public he has to wear bulletproof vests.

As of April of this year's Serbian Intelligence Agency, BIA, had rejected Swiss media reports that former Council of Europe reporter Dick Marty has been threatened by <x0 radical elements of Serbian intelligence services”.
