Foreign media suggest she lost her life after being beaten by police after refusing to sing the pro-region anthem when her school was raided by security agents.
The Council of Co-ordinators of Iranian Teachers' Unions confirmed that Asra Panashi has died following the security forces raid at the girls' high school in Ardabil on 13 October.
According to the council, authorities in the city of Ardabil took students from Shahed high school and sent them to a pro-government protest, asking them to sing hymns and praise Iran's supreme leader, Ajatolah Ali Khamenei, Euronews reports.
After the students refused, security forces attacked and beat many of them. Ten were taken from security forces and sent to an unknown location, while seven were injured.
Iranian officials have denied that government security forces have beaten students.
Iran has faced riots that present the biggest challenge to the Islamic regime since the 1979 revolution since September 16th, following Mahsa Amin's death, 22.
