Blinken: Albania Trusted ally, reference point in region

This has been the guarantee provided by Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Olta Gacka and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken at the conclusion of the strategic partnership dialogue.
At the meeting with two Albanian and American delegations, Secretary Blinken said the US is proud to have a reliable ally like Albania, writes ATS.
He praised co-operation in all areas and expressed US willingness and will to deepen co-operation in energy, business and others, viewing Albania as a reference point in the region.
Secretary Blinken expressed US gratitude to Albania as an ally who has always taken on her responsibilities. He praised the fact that Albania sheltered Afghan citizens and underlined that the US will always be at the side of our country.
Chief diplomat Xhacka thanked Secretary Blinken and the US government for supporting and co-operating in the defence of democracy, the situation in Ukraine, cyber defence modernisation of Armed Forces or projects in developing energy.
“Albania highly appreciates its strategic partnership with the United States and we are convinced that this relationship will deepen and expand further into the future, based on the stable foundations of friendship between our countries and our people”, Minister Gacka said during meeting with the two delegations.
On Tuesday in the State Department, the most important meeting of the two countries' political relations was held: strategic partnership dialogue U.S. Albanian. Representatives from 6 ministries and the State Department, Defence, Trade Department, Finance Corporation for International Development participated in the dialogue, as well as other government agencies where ways were discussed to deepen strategic co-operation.
