Over 20% of Albanians never took a vacation

The situation for citizens has deteriorated more in recent years, as 37.75% of respondents have not vacationed for 2-5 years.
17.05% of respondents have not been on vacation for a year.
While a relatively high figure, 16.32% also occupy those who have not vacationed for 6-10 years. While 7.87% of them have not stopped for more than 10 years.
The findings are of the Barometer at Euronews Albania, conducted during the period 9-21 September 2022, conducted by the MRB and Data Centrum, at a national level with 1,000 interviews face to face.
Twenty-seven.8% of Albanians who have vacationed this summer have spent only 50,000 to 75,000 per person vacationing. 23.4% of respondents have vacationed with only $26,000 to 50,000.
While 7.3% of them have rested on less than 25,000 dollars. The 111% of vacationers this summer have spent 76,000 to 100,000 dollars. As the figure decreases when spending increases where 6.3% of respondents have spent 110,000 to 150,000 dollars and 7.6% of them have spent more than 150,000 lek. And when it comes to spending 16.5% of respondents have preferred not to answer.
Asked by the Barometer at Euronews Albania, 76.7% of citizens have chosen our country to rest, and only 22.2% of them have travelled abroad for holidays this summer.
In terms of accommodation, 71.7% of Albanians who have ceased this summer have chosen apartments and rented rooms to rest. Only 15.6% of them have chosen to be accommodated in hotels -- not a promising figure for the hotel sector. While 7.8% of respondents have been accommodated in their homes.
