Health Minister Dr. Rifat Latifi, accompanied by deputy ministers Dr. Dafina Geja-Bunjak and Dr. Arsim Berisha stayed at the Kosovo National Institute of Public Health today.
They were notified by the director IKSHPK, Professor Nasser Ramadani, concerning the IKSHPK's work during the COVID-19 pandemic, department activities there and ongoing activities in monitoring the epidemic situation in the country.
Minister Latifi expressed his gratitude for the work IKSHPK has done during the pandemic, assessing that during this difficult period, Kosovo, despite limited health capacities, has managed to show commitment to controlling the epidemiology situation and its management.
The meeting highlighted both the population inoculation of both COVID-19 and the seasonal Grid, the implementation of measures in force, and the full monitoring of the epidemiological situation with the aim of preserving public health, at this time of the circulation of various kinds of SARS COV-2, including the disturbing Omitron version.
