At today's plenary session on pandemics, Minister Latifi has stated that despite the rapid rise in positive cases with COVID-19, the number of hospitalists continues to be low and manageable, while raising the number of doctors and nurses infected with coronarys as a concern.
“According to USKKKUK and KKKUK data in all of our hospitals are treating 181 patients of these 149 with confirmed COVID and only two in intensive care. I agree again and completely with my colleague Dressia that we need to increase the number and quality of intensive care services in Kosovo. The third element that we're based on is the number of health workers infected with COVID, respectively, the health system's ability to cope with a large possible influx. According to data yesterday, we've had over 130 doctors and 160 infected nurses, but according to the omitron evidence and management practices that started in the US, we've cut the working deadline in five days if they're without clinical symptoms”, he said.
Minister Latifi asked MPs to discuss transforming Kosovo's health in the future, where the patient will be in the spotlight.
“in Kosovo we have chosen a more moderate path we have set limits on specific sectors that are high-risk and are waiting to see how the situation is developing in our hospitals. Of course, every day we appreciate this and we'll take consistent action... Like many other evils that Kosovo has likely will end, but the next time I had desperately desired that we sit in this holy room and deal with how to transform Kosovo's health to discuss the transformation of health and medical science that has been neglected for three decades and at the center of attention to the patient, and all of this be managed by a brilliant team of our Kosovo doctors and scientists, Latifie said.
