More or less, this could be the path of the natural gas pipeline coming from the Hellen state. The giant American project envisions the extent of liquid gas in the Balkans, thus undermining the Russian monopoly in this area.
The giant American project envisions the extension of this energy source even in Kosovo, as this sector is mostly based on coal.
This would be marked as achievement in diversifying energy and using natural gas in industry and in producing electricity.
The Milenium MC Challenge Corporation, which is one of the sponsors of gas transmissions, has shown interest in dialogue with Albin Kurti's government on the issue since May of this year.
But the latter has not taken any steps to push it forward.
Even the Kosovo Clan has not returned answers to the subject. The answer has not yet been returned by the Greek government.
While the American Embassy in Pristina explained this project has nothing to do with the liquid US natural gas. While adding that the pipeline associated with Greece will temporarily use gas until it is ready for hydrogen use, after 30 years, when it will even decarbonize.
The strategic project, according to Arrian Zeka from the American Economic Oda, is also due to the Washington Agreement, which says Kosovo and Serbia will diversify energy supplies.
Zeka estimates that Pristina should dinarise its commitment to taking advantage of the project.
“The need for the government's diversification or the fulfillment of Washington's agreement is the Government of Kosovo, which should have a clearer stance”, he says.
On the other hand, also the new American emissary for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, has stressed that Washington's agreement continues to be valid for Joe Biden's administration.
