Montenegrin media have discovered the Banana container route, in which 1.2 tonnes of cocaine coming from Latin America was seized.
The container came to the port of Tivar from Coper on the ship “M SC Charlotte. The latter serves as ships to disperse containers in the Adriatic area as they come to Italian ports with much larger ships.
Customs police, as well as the one in Montenegro, had information that not only Banana were in that container, but also cocaine, allowing it to first pass as if nothing happened. The container was taken clean out of the scanner to prevent orders from having doubts that they were discovered.
As the container left the port, police chased him all the way to the village of Moyanovi. After conspiring to introduce container into a warehouse used by a local business, police intervened by arresting father and daughter Budimir and Marina Christovic, who are accused of international drug trafficking.
Cocaine was introduced to 125 pounds [125 kg] and if it had been released to the market it would have been worth 100m euros. /abcnews. al
