A fatal traffic accident has been reported today around 11:00, on the regional Mitrovica-Peje road, in the village of Qubrel, respectively.
A motorcycle was involved in the accident, resulting in injuries suffered by the motorcycle driver.
“Give voice” learns that the victim is a cigarette driver Rafet Ala, 55-year-old living in Iliroda (former Tavnik) neighbourhood. The medical emergency team recorded death at the scene.
From the first investigations conducted at the scene by regional traffic unit investigators, it is known that the cause of the accident was allegedly the failure of the motorcycle driver to adjust the speed of moving to road conditions.
Police spokesman Avni Zahiti confirmed the case.
