This meeting will not be a political summit, but will be attended by Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi the delegation from the Serbian side will be led by Petar Petkov.
Today's meeting between Kosovo and Serbia delegations at the level of the top negotiators will be the first since the meeting, held on 15 June, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq.
Earlier, such meetings were called technical-level meetings, but now in the EU state that all meetings are of political character.
Everything in talks on normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia is deeply political, nothing is technical”, Lajcak wrote on Twitter, Telegrafi reported.
The meeting between the Kosovo delegation and Serbia will serve to prepare the new meeting between Kurti and Vuciqi, expected to be held at the end of July.
Serbia's delegation chief Petar Petkov has warned that during the talks, he will talk about failing to implement the Agreement to establish the Association of Major Serb municipalities in Kosovo.
In the European Union, they continue to reiterate the position that agreements reached in the dialogue process should be implemented, including the Agreement on the establishment of the Serb majority municipalities' Association.
For this, the EU expects Kosovo to come up with a proposal on how this agreement would be implemented, as with an earlier decision of the Kosovo Parliament, this agreement has been taken over as an international obligation. But, the Kosovo government has rejected its implementation, saying there will be no one-ethnic association in Kosovo.
Dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, with European Union mediating, has started in 2011.
