Abazi '%s' who failed to win an MP seat in Albania despite the support of Prime Minister Kurti '%s' has been sharply opposed to Zajednica even through a 2003 UNMIK stance.

We remember that Vetevendosje with its activists, led by Albin Kurti, had suffered extraordinary clashes with UNMIK, Periscope follows.

However, this has not prevented Abbas from quoting Michel Steiner, the famous UNMIK administrator of the association issue.

However, it is noteworthy that Kosovo has declared its independence on February 17th 2008.

Not known if Mr. Ahaz, due to his commitment to Albania's policy, knows that Prime Minister Albin Kurti has already violated his stance on dialogue with Serbia and has travelled to Brussels to meet with Serbian President Vuciq.

Even UNMIK and Resolution 1244 against “Zieednica”

Since 2003, since several political structures of Kosovo Serbs, in co-ordination with Belgrade, announced “Zajednica” (the association of Serb majority municipalities), U n NMIC has reacted to reject it through an official statement by Michael Steiner, the UN Secretary General's envoy to Kosovo ( UNMIK: The wrong structure forced to accept the right thing. Following is Steiner's full statement:

This situation creates another paradox:

Serbia does not recognise independence of the Republic of Kosovo, but
Serbia recognises mono-ethnic association as valid and legal, as well as
Serbia recognises Security Council Resolution 1244 as valid and legal, but

c. Resolution 1244 does not recognise the Serbian mono-ethnic association as valid and legal.

In the end, even with the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo's right decision, mono-ethnic association is seen as unconstitutional, but also according to Resolution 1244 (which interests Serbia), mono-ethnic association is considered legally invalid.
