In an authorial text at “Vecernje Novosti” and on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Nazi Germany attack on the former Soviet union, Russia stressed that it will continue to promote impartial assessments of World War II.
“We are deeply grateful to the Serbian leadership and the Serbian people for their position in preserving historical truth and remembering our brotherhood in arms in World War II, for their continued care of military monuments and graveyards, and to understand the high importance of archive and research work, including on the ground, the Russian ambassador wrote.
