Kurt began by saying that the conversation focused on bilateral relations between Kosovo and France, where investments in the economy were discussed. After that came the important topic, which is Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. Kurti said Serbia must recognise Kosovo and the sovereignty of our state is not a topic of discussion.
“This was a very basic meeting with the president of France since we focused on bilateral relations where investment in the economy was discussed”, Kurti said.
On the other hand, we discussed the situation in the region, the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, since the case I stressed that the old one where Serbia demands what we can give for its recognition, but we should not avoid avoiding the elephant in the room, and that is mutual recognition, since the case belongs to Belgrade where it is”, Kurti said.
“Of course Kosovo's independence, state sovereignty, is not questionable. With Serbia, we are willing to discuss the status of our relations, not our status, because it is over with the independence of Kosovo”, Kurti said.
“Should complete the old approach, where Serbia does not recognise Kosovo. We are focused on the strength of the state of Kosovo”.
And for visa liberalisation, Kurti said it has been addressed as a matter, but there is no commitment to lifting them.
“Of course, Kosovo citizens are interested in visa liberalisation, it is unfair that Kosovo, after meeting the criteria, has not yet abolished visa liberalisation. This issue has been addressed, I am convinced that they have received our message, but there is no commitment to abolishing of visa”, Kurti said.
