After reporting on sexual assault on a student in Pristina, protest tomorrow before the Ministry of Education

The protest will be held after reporting a case of sexual assault on a first-grade student in Pristina.

The reason for this protest is to introduce sexual education as a school subject, to have safe facilities for students, and to employ social workers and psychologists in schools.

Yesterday, the case of a sexual assault on a student in the first grade of three seventh grade students was made public at a school “Fic Conica”. This case, which cannot be read as an isolated case, is disseminating the reality of girls once again in a frightening way.

Girls are facing violence and sexual abuse in schools, precisely because of social and institutional failure to deal with violence against girls and women as a serious problem and concern for public safety.

So tomorrow, at 12: 00 p.m., we gather at the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and innovation to protest the neglect of girls' safety and the lack of real education policies, which are maintaining the patriarchism which is turning out to be violent for girls inside and outside school institutions.

The protest will have three main demands:

1. Getting sex education into schools;

2. Safe environments for students/it;

3. Employment of workers/Socials and psychologists in all schools.

Protesters must respect IKSC and Health Ministry guidelines for curbing the spread of COVID 19 by wearing masks and maintaining physical distance.
