Kosovars so far are immune to accepted doses of donations from the European Union and the World Health Organisation.
But despite that in the Ministry of Health, they say they are already in the process of contracting, even with some of the companies being finalised.
The Health Ministry is in the process of linking the contract to the purchase of necessary vaccines with some of the production companies. This process is in progress until with some of them this process is very close to finalisation. Whatever the case, because of conditions of privacy to which this process is subject, not only to Kosovo, you will be notified at the right time”, said through a written response to Kosova Preress, Sami Uka, the minister of health political adviser.
The criticism against the Kosovo government for not signing the contract to buy vaccines has been addressed by Parliamentary Commission for Health member Bekim Haxhiu.
MP The PDK, it says that at this rate of inoculation Kosovo will take 10 and a half years to complete the communication process against the koronobius.
The statements that will soon have vaccine contracts are not yet very disturbing, because so far the vaccines that they have achieved are just a donation of COVAX and the European Union, and the government Kurti has not yet managed to secure a contract and it is the only government in Europe that has no contract to supply vaccines, and that is very worrying because the lack of vaccines is a health risk of citizens. Every day lost in the vaccine is life lost for citizens. For 10 days we have had zero vaccines now going through a very slow process of 600 on average per day, and if it continues at this rate of inoculation Kosovo needs 10 and a half years to complete the vaccine process”, Haxhiu stressed.
Health reporter Bujar Vitita says the Health Ministry has no reason for not buying doses of anti vaccines - CO VID, as there is already a separate budget and regulated legislation.
The Ministry of Health has always been called to that it is under way and close to reaching any contract to buy vaccines, but unfortunately we haven't had any concrete information from the NSH, in addition to the irresponsibly sharing information with the public, is still continuing a neglect of the MSH, but the government in general to provide vaccines. I consider that it has been taken too late to give rationale for providing budget vaccines is set aside, there is no reason for either Pfizer or AstraZeneca, or other vaccines that could be imported to Kosovo there is no reason to delay. Any further delay creates consequences in the management of pandemic in infecting endangered groups”, Vitia stressed.
To buy vaccines against COVID-19 and other needs related to the management of pandemic, the Kosovo government has allocated 40m euros.
