Jon congratulates Ternava for Fiter Bajram

The bishop of Diocese Prizren-Pristina, Dode Gjergji, has sent a letter of congratulations to Chief Mufti Naim Trnava in honour of the Fiter Bay festival, saying he would like to go to him personally to congratulate him and the Islamic Community, but, as he said, the extraordinary circumstances of the pandemic are not allowing it. “Believe [...]

I believe that the faithful of both of our faiths have become stronger in religion and have understood better than we need each other”.

Full letter:

Honored Chryf

on this holiday I would like to come personally to congratulate you and the Islamic community in Kosovo for the holiday of Fiter Bajram, but unfortunately the extraordinary circumstances of the David-19 pandemic are not allowing it this time.

I very much hope that this unusual circumstance will leave, and soon we will be able to return to ordinary life, full service, and joint labor for the good of our country.

Although under difficult circumstances, I believe many that the believing men and women of both our beliefs have become stronger in religion and have understood better than we need one another.

May the celebration of Bayram prosper you spiritually, and may God, by His grace, accept the fasting sacrifice that you have made during the month of Ramadan.

May you and your followers be filled with love at this feast, and may peace and forgiveness and reconciliation prevail among us.

Lucky Fiter Bajrami! ”
