Covered for public hearings in case Gani Geci is accused of killing Ruzhdi Shaqiri

Initially, expert Bulnjak has asked the court to close the hearings to the public during his testimony.

Judge Radoslav Markovic has approved the expert's request, leaving the monitors in the courtroom, but preventing the publication of information given by Bnjak during his testimony.

The judge also announced to the monitors the legal consequences of extracting information from this closed trial.

Otherwise, experts Gani Halilaj and Arife Veselini have been missing at Tuesday's session, as well as witness Bedri Shaqiri. For the latter, the judge said that according to information received by the Skenderaj Police Station, Shaqiri is said to be in Holland.

Thus, after hearing the Bunjak expert, the court ruled to read the statement of witness Shaqiri, given in police on August 5, 2014, for which prosecutor Naim Beka and the defender of the accused, lawyer Ndica Dodaj had no remarks.

On the other hand, lawyer Dodaj has proposed that Murat Memeti and Faton Ramadani be heard in this criminal case in quality of witnesses.

With the proposal for witness hearing Ramadani agreed to prosecutor Beka, but he rejected witness hearing Mehmeti.

However, the court approved the attorney's proposal, and the two witnesses mentioned above are expected to be heard at the next session, scheduled for April 29, 2021, at 10:00.

Otherwise, at the first retrial session, held on March 30th of this year, prosecutor Naim Beka has resigned from prosecution for the weapons use work.

According to prosecutor Beka, the above-mentioned work has been consumed by the crime of murder, for which it gives up its third point of indictment.

Thereafter, at that session, Gec Gec has stated that for the second point of the indictment, which charges it with criminal work of ownership, control, or unauthorized possession of weapons, he admits guilt. Otherwise, the Constitutional Court in Mitrovica, on 3 June 2016, had sentenced Gani Gecin to 4 years and 6 months in prison for the murder of Ruzhdzi Shaqiri, reports “Justice Trust”.

Meanwhile, with this decision, the complaints of the injured Halime Shaqiri and her authorised representative, lawyer Sokol Dobgurina, Apel had described them as not hurt.
