Varhely has also been declared for Serbia's EU membership negotiations process, which he said would accelerate, adding that it depends on Serbia and the speed of implementing key reforms.
The European Union must ensure more predictability in the process, to make clear what can be expected from candidate countries and to ensure that if countries do, the EU also complements its”, he said, the Voice of America reported.
“I think we have a chance to significantly speed up membership on modified methodology”, Varelj said during the online debate “Serbia on the path to EU membership”, organised by a Dutch organisation and the Serbian Embassy in the Netherlands.
