During a show with rock star Bruce Springstein, Obama spoke for the first time about the incident that took place while he was in high school.
When I was in high school, I had a friend. We played basketball together. At one point we fought and humiliated me. First, what he said doesn't exist in Hawaii, does it? It's one of those things when someone says a word, he may not be aware of what he means, but what he knew was he could hurt me if he said it,” said Obama, broadcast New York Post.
The former US president recalled that he immediately attacked his basketball partner.
I jumped on him, hit him in the face and broke his nose. We were in the dressing room. I told him never to call me that again”, Obama said.
