A Florida man wearing a red tanga mask for his face was forced to leave a United Airlines flight after failing to meet the federal mask requirement.
Adam Jenne, 38, was asked to leave the plane before leaving Fort Lauderdale Airport on Wednesday.
He told the local NBC2 news channel that he wanted to show “subsurdity” of the passengers' obligation to wear masks on the plane while allowing them to remove them for food and drink on board.
It's all pointless. David doesn't know we're on air altitude. It's stupid. All this is theatre,” said Jenne for NBC2.
He added that he was wearing underwear on his face during previous flights and told the air crew that “is a mask, doing his job”, writes Theguardian, broadcast Klankosova.tv.
The footage of the incident, filmed by another passenger, showed the flight crew informing Jenne that he couldn't stay on board if he kept the tanga in his face. After some discussions, he finally left his country.
