Jasharaj invites Kurt to race for SBASK chairman: I'll question her if her membership vote

United Trade Union of Education, Science and Culture Chairman Nundman Jasharaj misjudges Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti's approach to unions in Kosovo. He says Kurt should not intervene in unions, as far as he points out that the same has much work to do in government to improve [the] conditions.

However, Jasharaj says that if the prime minister seems to have the right to join the SBASK, then he says he wins the right to be a presidential candidate in elections expected to be held in April.

If it seems so attractive to the union that it has the right to join the SBASK, then it gets the right to run, it's going to be my countercontinent, if membership votes and votes, I make it up to him and then let the government run the union. It will be the unique occasion a prime minister is leading the unions. On the contrary, let's lead the government, we don't get involved and we never tend to create big problems”, Jasharaj said.

The SBASK leader says I will never resign from the post he holds due to criticism taken from the government.

Jasharaj says the act of resignation will be undertaken only if membership demands it, but according to him, membership requires otherwise, just to keep running the union for another mandate.

“I will never resign why the government wants it and for government requests, my resignation will be public if membership is to say so. April is coming and I said from the meetings we have with municipal levels I have full support without campaigning and this support, that their confidence will be maintained and carried out by”, Jasharaj said.

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, days ago from the Kosovo Assembly, addressed criticism to union leaders in Kosovo, saying they are also guilty of the situation in education and health. These criticisms come after the warning various unions have made for protests and strikes, with the requirement for the salary Law to be adopted.

For this, SBASK leader Nundman Jasharaj says the prime minister does not need to criticise him and SBASK, but must take concrete action to change the situation in education.

“Kurti with his statements turns out as if he didn't live in Kosovo, this situation we haven't praised, but the situation is, we've expected that there will be positive changes but there are no signs, no signs, hopes that something in education will change... If schools are bad, the prime minister does not need to come up and criticize me and the SBASK, but take concrete action, in the government to share concrete means dedicated to concrete issues. To share laptop tools, but to be directed to friendly countries that are not willing to help us with certain laptops, to have projectors, to have soap, because there are schools that have no drinking water, and that should be known to the prime minister”, he says.

Jasharaj also answers Prime Minister Kurti's agreement in 2017 with PAN, which he says even the Vetevendosje Movement had submitted to him to sign such an agreement but had not received answers.

“We made the same request to all political subjects who were competing to take power, to lead Kosovo, we sent the same letter to LDK, LVV, the Alliance then to become PAN, Initiative, and even to parties of the Turkish and Bosnian community... We all sent you letters, we got answers only from PAN then and it would be inhuman to say The others don't want to come to you. We've all expected to accept this request. We were fed up with pompous statements in campaigns that made education more developed, that would take care of our demands, but when the campaigns were done they said it in emotion. When we had the signature, I am also guaranteeing Prime Minister Haradinaj and Mr. Wessel had regretted the signing, because at each meeting we went with that” deal, he says.

Jasharaj says Prime Minister Kurti is taking every union request personally, for what it says Kurti should know that with unions he should talk and not shoot from far away. KP
