Former CEC chief Valdete Daka on 27 October had addressed the ombudsman on request to review her dismissal by the country's president, Vjosa Osmani.
Despite remarks by the European Union, however, the ombudsman finds the decision to dismiss the CEC chairman is determined by law.
So Valdete Daka's request has been rejected.
Daka has said in this case the ombudsman has sided with the fittest.
I still don't have this ombudsman decision, I don't know what this decision is called. I think it's sad when the only institution I've been able to address and between which I could know whether my dismissal was right or not is silent. The ombudsman is the institution that should protect human rights and freedoms, in this case it appears to have sided with those that are strongest”, she said.
While he added that if the Ombudsman sent its request to the Constitutional Court, it would be known if President Vjosa Osmani's decision was right.
