Portugal's government has introduced a new law that makes it illegal for companies to contact overtime staff, one of a series of new measures to regulate long-term work and put a life-life balance of citizens in the continuation of the coronary pandemic.
Businesses will face fines if they send e-mails to working overtime and will be forced to pay household expenses while their employees work from home, including internet and electricity bills.
The staff of children will also be granted the legal right to work from home until the children are eight, without having to approve someone from the company.
New conditions apply only to companies with 10 or more workers.
