Italian media write that Adelina, who was born in Durres thanks to her co-operation with police, led to the arrest of 40 people and 80 others were prosecuted.

All of those arrested were part of the Albanian mafia that controlled prostitution exploitation throughout Italy.

According to the media, she was afraid to return to Albania for fear of killing those she had taken behind bars.

If I come back to Albania I'm a dead woman, I'm afraid they'll kill me for arresting me at the time.

She had been seeking refugee status in Italy for years, but has always been rejected. The Italian state promised her protection so that she could denounce her tutors, but despite that, she never received such protection.

Sejdin, who lived in Pavia and was ill with cancer, was often hospitalized in San Matteo.

After she escaped from her users, she denounced the organisation and in the following years also worked alongside City Angels to help victims of blackmail to break free from that slavery.

He went to Italy at the age of 22 in 1996, and has since been unable to obtain Italian citizenship.

On October 28th, she set herself on fire before the Interior Ministry, but the Albanian was saved and then transported to Santo Spirito Hospital with severe burns.

After that she tried to speak to Italian President Sergio Mattella, or at least some interior ministry officials, but failed to meet any of them. /oranews/
