Krasniqi's Hoxhaj presents the plan for foreign policy recovery: Will strengthen ties with US, Germany

Hoxhaj underscoring that foreign policy is the front line where state protection begins from threats from outside, and the protection of the country's achievements has said Kosovo's main challenge in this regard will be UN membership, the European Union, in NATO, and the conclusion of dialogue with Serbia.

The stance of the Democratic Party of Kosovo is clear. Kosovo will not make any compromise that goes beyond Ahtisaari's Pacos, which violates the country's Constitution, or violates sovereignty and territorial integrity. With me as prime minister, Kosovo will not make any compromise that violates the constitutional order and unitary character of the state. Since Kosovo has met all criteria for visa liberalisation, the European Union has shown injustice to us and has treated Kosovo citizens as second-class citizens. This approach has to end.”, Hoxhaj stressed.

In turn, he has mentioned the Ramboullet Conference, which Hashim Thaci led, where Kosovo won US and West support for liberation, as well as the negotiations process in Vienna, thanks to which Kosovo's independence was declared in 2008, as a result of a wise foreign policy and diplomacy. During the time when Hoxhaj has served as Kosovo Foreign Minister in the Thaci Government, 116 recognitions for Kosovo and membership in 60 international organisations have been provided.

Hoxhaj has added that in contrast to Vienna's Ramboulies, in Kosovo we have anti-American and autocratic politicians like Albin Kurti, who mock the White House, who go to Tirana and crash with the Albanian prime minister while smiling at Serbian prime minister, who, during the pandemic, closed the border with Albania but opened the gates to Serbia to declare the state of emergency in northern Kosovo. Hoxhaj has again invited Kurt to debate.

My commitment has not been easy, in dealing with Western diplomats, when I was told that Kosovo's image is ruining tear gas scenes in the Parliament. When I was told that “went to convince the opposition leader in Kosovo, Albin Kurtin, to recognise the Kosovo flag, the independence of Kosovo, and then come to convince us.” I was fighting to get to know independent Kosovo with its flag. And they reminded me of how the opposition leader in Kosovo did not recognise the state flag, state institutions and damage the image of the state. Therefore, Albin Kurti cannot be Kosovo Prime Minister, because citizens will not allow what was built for many years and many sacrifices to be destroyed for one day. Because, they know Albin Kurti is a danger to Kosovo, and they are seeing that he is neither an electoral programme, nor a priority for citizens, nor the courage to confront me in the debate.”, he said.

While, Memli Krasniqi has said that foreign relations of the Republic of Kosovo are not at the right level due to the breakup of many of the country's economic, diplomatic and political relations by the governments of the 2019 Grand Fraud Coalition, led by Albin Kurti and Avdullah Hoti.

According to Krasniqi, The PDK is committed to recovering the country's foreign policy, in terms of strategic orientation on defence issues, regional co-operation and Euro-Atlantic integration, so the foreign policy recovery plan is based on three fundamental pillars: Foreign policy and Diplomacy, National Protection and Security, as well as Development Promovation.

“Brend within the first 100 days, we will bring it back to the international arena, the true history of our state and its path to independence, to directly confront the attempt to consolidate the humanistic image of the Serbian state, at the expense of Kosovo, its people, and the right struggle for freedom and independence. Under the interstate dialogue with Serbia, with the mediation of the US and the European Union, we will clearly define our state goals and co-ordinate the same with our strategic partners. For us, dialogue has only one destination: mutual recognition between the two countries. This year we will apply for membership in the Council of Europe, World Health Organisation, World Trade Organisation, Interpol and U NESTO, as well as any international organisation and mechanism that includes free and democratic states. For this, we will build an agenda and a concrete plan, co-ordinated with the Allied states. To The PDK, membership in the United Nations, will be Kosovo's main foreign policy ambition for this mandate.”, Krasniqi has said.

Hoxhaj and Krasniqi, in their presentation, have said that the recovery aims to end the isolation of citizens and Kosovo, and to strengthen political and economic ties with the US and Germany.
