Hoxhaj has visited the factory for production of sweets “Sedefi”, textile factory “Artatex”, as well as businesses in the Long Cavalry, from which he said the government led by him would create facilities for private businesses in the country.
Hoxhaj has stressed that the Democratic Party of Kosovo views businesses as partners, and in the recovery plan it is envisioned that the private sector will be supported by a 1 billion-euro fund, where 500m euros are dedicated to businesses.
Likewise, Hoxhaj has said that during his term as prime minister, even minimum wages will increase from 170 euros to 300 euros.
“Today I have been to the Pec municipality, where I visited the textile industry and the food industry, and this says that in Kosovo much domestic production would have to be supported as much for domestic markets as for foreign markets. We will provide fiscal facilities and concrete support through grants, since some of the companies have been hit due to pandemic and the private sector will be one of the government's top priorities that I will lead after February 15th”, he said.
