Vuciqi relates why I was surprised when Trump announced the deployment of the Serbian Embassy in Jerusalem

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has dismissed media speculations, as he called them, that he was the uninformed “” for the agreement he signed at the Oval Office, including a provision on the transfer of his country's embassy to Jerusalem in July 2021.

Vucic said he simply checked and confirmed again what was written so that he would not sign another agreement, and made sure that the document had not been replaced with anything else when signing it.

Numerous speculations circulated in the media on Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who seems confused when US President Donald Trump announces to the Oval Office that his country pledged to open an embassy in Jerusalem next year.

The images of the signing ceremony showed Trump announcing that the embassy's transfer would take place in July, prompting Vucic, sitting on POTUS's right, to re-write the agreement he had just signed, and then to take a look at his right, where the accompanying delegation was located.

Many thought Vucic was unaware of what he just signed.

The signing came as part of a US-brokered agreement. to establish full economic ties between Serbia and Kosovo -- the latter under this agreement -- will recognise Israel and its territorial claims.
