Revenues from tourism in Albania scored 91m euros in the first six-month of the year.
According to data published by the Bank of Albania in the first six-month of the year, the balance of trips measuring the difference between foreign spending in Albania and the expenses of Albanians abroad marked positive value, though declining by a year ago, due to the Devid-19 situation.
The Bank of Albania announced that foreigners spent 63m euros in the second quarter, or 87%, less than in the same period last year and Albanians, on their trips abroad spent 65m euros, or 85% less than in 2019.
Referring to INSTAT data, the number of Albanians who emerged from the country in the first quarter of 2020 is 1,380.308, dropping 48.0%, compared to the same period a year ago. The number of foreign citizens entering our country in the first six quarters of 2020 is 781,894, dropping 63,4%, compared to the same period in 2019.
In 2019, travel balance reached 500m euros, foreigners spent about 2 billion euros on travel to Albania, while Albanians spent about 1.5 billion euros abroad. / ATSH/
