Suspects and indictees who are poor could receive free legal assistance from the Special Court.
The Special Court is dealing with the few three charges against former UCK members.
For two of them, the confirmation's six-month term has passed, while the Special Court itself has not issued any confirmation or confirmation of these charges.
But this court this Thursday has issued another announcement.
Specialised Chambers Administrator Fidelma Donlon, in consultation with President Ekaterina Trendafilova, has approved the Juridical Assistance Rule.
This document allows for legal protection for suspected or accused persons who are poor.
Meanwhile, chairwoman Ekaterina Trendafilova has said this document meets universal standards of justice.
But what does this regulation contain?
The request to receive this assistance must make the suspects or the accused.
But the same must prove that they cannot cover defence expenses.
For not making fair statements or even failing to co-operate with the tribunal, suspects, but also the accused may be forced to return the corresponding amounts of money.
By this arrangement, protection teams, translation costs, and other expenses are compensated.
While the amount is determined depending on the complexity of cases that are divided into standards, difficult and very difficult.
The complexity of appeals cases, however, is determined depending on the decision on the subject being appealed.
This regulation also allows for the Victims Jurydic Aid.
Meanwhile, the expenses of potential indictees at the Special Court are also covered by the Kosovo government.
This, since Kosovo's Assembly -- besides the Specialised Chambers Law and the Specialised Prosecutor's Office -- has also adopted a law on Jurydic Protection and Financial Support of potential indictees at the Special Court.
Recently, the Ministry of Justice has also adopted sublegal acts.
