Kosovo and Serbia passed into the White House on Friday have signed the agreement for economic normalisation, but this could have serious geopolitical consequences.
So writes the Moskovite Kommersant daily, adding that in June, Russia had warned President Aleksandar Vuciq of parts that were involved in the final text agreement.
The paper stresses that there is no official reaction from Russia after signing the agreement, but that “in part” had reacted via Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova's Facebook text,
Zakharova had published a humiliating message after Vucciki's visit to the White House.
“The signing of mutual recognition between Kosovo and Israel witnessed by Vuciq essentially legitimises Pristina's aspirations for self-rule. Russian authorities seem to have warned Serbia's president [Aleksandar Vuciq] of some parts of the Washington” agreement, Kommersant reports.
Also, this newspaper writes that Belgrade has not informed Moscow of parts of the agreement, including the shift of its embassy to Jerusalem, the recognition of Hezbollah as a terrorist organisation and the prevention of Chinese technologies.
The United States became more involved in this dialogue, as on October 4, 2019, President Trump named Richard Green as his special envoy in the talks.
