It's been seven months since the day he was killed with explosives, police officer Sami Thaci in Zhur, Prizren. This event that had shocked Kosovo had occurred in the home of Iran Backallaj, who was being sought by the anti-drug unit. If Iran Badallaj is suspected of this case, so is his friend Arben Gashi.
Prizren's prosecution has already interviewed dozens of people involved in the January 28th event. As suspects in this case are Bandallaj's wife and sister, who have already been interviewed by the prosecution.
That's confirmed to the newspaper Objective, case prosecutor Metush Biray.
“are both suspected of Iran's wife and sister-in-law Balaj, who were interviewed by us, two people are still in custody”, Bandallaj said.
Biray says they are working intensively to finalise the case in question, but according to him the obstacle was also the pandemic to carry out the case faster.
“5 persons are suspected, two are in custody, it's a sensitive situation and it can't be given anything concrete because it's a sensational case we're working intensively, but you know because of the pandemic we're having trouble, we're in activity in continuous action”, Biraj added.
Biraj also says he is expected to be interviewed by Kosovo police official Arthur Mrasor, who has already returned to Kosovo following medical treatment in Turkey, where he was sent after serious injuries suffered during this police operation.
And Mr. Major will be interviewed very soon”, Biray has finished.
This incident had occurred in the home of Iran Backallaj, who was being sought by an antidrug unit. Doubts are that Bandallaj had mounted the explosion.
