Xhavit Beqiri, adviser to Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, in a response to the Express has confirmed that the Kosovo government has received an invitation to make arrangements at these meetings, while showing they have not yet responded to this invitation.
Yes, the invitation has arrived! We haven't answered yet. That's all I can tell you right now”, Beqiri said.
The EU reportedly has planned to face Kosovo and Serbia in three successive meetings, on September 27th, 28th and 29th.
The summit between Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, is scheduled to take place on Tuesday and 29 September.
The issue of the Serbian majority municipalities' association is reportedly being blocked by dialogue, while Serbia is insisting that this be discussed in Brussels. Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, at a news conference today, said the issue is closed and will no longer be discussed.
This subject is not discussed because it is closed with the 2013 agreement and then the next agreement with the 2015 principle, which actually improves the 2013 agreement. So this is not the subject that opens up in the dialog”, Hoti said.
President Hashim Thaci and opposition parties have also warned that this topic will not be on the negotiating table with Serbia.
