Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, says the KLA war values bill for protection that Kosovo MPs are willing to adopt will limit the right to free speech to Kosovo Serbs, and even he says they will be arrested if they do not think as Albanians.
Pristina's temporary <x0th authorities want to present a verbal work and make all Serbs think as Albanians in Kosovo and Metohija and go to jail if they say otherwise”, Vuciq said after being asked by journalists on the issue, Klan Kosova reports.
It's become a kind of fashion for the region, so you can't say anything if you think otherwise. They made models of truth, and if you come out of that model of truth, there will be a general media chase”, writes Tanjug.
In his argument, Vuciq took an example of the dismissal of former Kosovo Serb minister Ivan Teodosijevic from Prime Minister Haradinaj. He was dismissed after making up Recak's Massacre and calling him William Walker a criminal.
Vuciq made these statements after what the American ambassador in Kosovo, Philip Costett, said that the proposed “Law on KLA values ... criminalises free speech, frightens citizens and is costly”.
The bill seeks to legalise an institutional and civic obligation to protect the image of the KLA guerrilla army that fought against Serb forces that were committing massacres in Kosovo.
It envisions creating a War Museum and the Day of War Memorial that ended in 1999 with the withdrawal of Serbian forces following a long NATO campaign.
