Kosovo Assembly Speaker Vjosa Osmani has said that for various reasons, review of the Bill for Prevention and Combating COVID-19 has stalled on Kosovo territory.
According to her, by this law it is meant to punish all those who say there is no virus.
This law will sanction the physical and legal persons who do not apply the measures imposed on the part of the government, which is expected to be binding through the amendment, where punishments are provided, with their influence being misused by saying that there is no virus, because the damage they do in society is great, and their dezinformities should not be left unpunished”, she stressed.
“Finally for various reasons this law has stalled despite the fact that it has been a clear request. Despite the situation burdened by Pandemia Covid-19, the law has remained hostage to policies, putting health ahead of politics. This law we have initiated along with 5 other deputies. This law aims to ensure that restrictions are effective for preventing this pandemic from respecting constitutionality”, Osmani said.
This law entered into force on approval day, but is automatically abolished by the rest of the reasons for its release. This law MPs will be able to handle through two readings”, she said further.
“The bill addresses the constitutional basis, we expect the Health Commission to meet the necessary needs, since the time it was launched has been different in March since we have 300 perts that have died”, she praised.
According to Osmani, the circumstances facing this law could be met.
“This law is not Vjosa Osmani's, but Kosovo Assembly deputies”, it eventually added.
