Kamenica municipality clears Karacheva's case: KFOR told us they had a joint action with Serbian military

Kamenica's chairman, Kastrati, said KFOR has clarified that the patrols of the Serbian gendarmerie yesterday in Karachev have been joint action with their peacekeeping forces. Kastrati said both the municipality and the police have not been informed in advance of this joint action. Yesterday's Karacheva event of [...]
The event yesterday in Karacheva in Kamenica, where Serbian gendarmerie is seen entering the village's depths, has awakened no few reactions.
Kamenica Mayor Kastrati said he has expressed his concern to KFOR because despite joint action, the Serbian gendarmerie has no right to enter into Kosovo territory.
With information accepted, I immediately contacted the central level because border protection is in their mandate. I also talked to KFOR because no one can enter that section without originally having special permission from them. According to them, it has been joint control with the Serbian Army, for which I also expressed our concern as a municipality because despite joint shares they have not had the right to enter deep within the territory -- the place where the images were received from” -- Kastrati told Express on Saturday.
Kastrati further said they have not been informed in advance as a municipality for this joint KFOR action with the Serbian Army.
From the information we have neither police nor we as a municipality have been informed in advance of this joint action, and normally it has brought concern to the residents of that area because it is not the first time they face something like this”, said Kastrati.
He also said that this time the gendarmerie has been introduced into the village area where it is frequented by all ages.
This time they entered a territory frequented by all ages. Due to a mistake in the Kumanovo Agreement in 1999, they feel provoked that Serbia's bodies enter their settlements, much less in this territorial depth that is not envisioned even with this 99thx1> deal, the mayor of Kamenica said.
Meanwhile, Minister Anton Quinn spoke about Express during the day, saying that in this case KFOR and other security bodies are investigating the case.
“Rasti is being investigated by KFOR authorities and local security institutions. I believe we will soon have the correct report on the nature and motive of this event. On the part of the KSF, appropriate actions are being implemented under the command of KSF Commander Lieutenant General Rama”, the defence minister said.
Kosovo police, on the other hand, have declared they have announced KFOR for the patrol of Serbian gendarmerie in the village of Karacheva in Kamenica. They also said their border units have gone immediately to the scene, but have not met in Serbia's military.
