But as the children are preparing to return to classes, many schools have begun the necessary preparation.
Social distance is now key to preventing the spread of the virus. Most Italian schools, however, operate with wide banks and seatings, where a greater number of students sit.
To change this, the education ministry has recently announced tenders across Europe to secure three million banks separated for September.
It is soon expected that all schools will be equipped with special banks for each student, in order to enable instruction from schools but with distance among students.
