The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo strongly condemns the burning of Greece's flag in one of Pristina's squares, by a group of fans after the defeat in the first prequalative match of the League of Europe with the Azel Cypriot team.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspore considers that burning the flag to any state is an unacceptable act and requires law enforcement to bring to justice those who have done so.

We strongly want every kind of insulting act of national symbol of any state, in Greece's concrete case. Kosovo and Greece have put in practical dialogue, have liaison offices at their top centres, and both sides work to deepen dialogue further”, Kosovo Republic of Kosovo top diplomat Melza Haradinaj Stublla has declared, considering the low act of some fans unacceptable.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora expects rule bodies to react quickly and bring to justice the authors of this act, as it considers that expressing discontent by burning the flag of a country in a sports match is an ugly act and in stark opposition to the values and ideals embraced by the people of Kosovo as democratic society.
