13 children from Albania face police at two homes in Pristina suspected of trafficking

26 people have been encountered by Kosovo Police, of them 13 children from Albania in control that has been made at two home locations in Pristina.
The raid has been made in doubt of verifying information that some foreign nationals remain there, which may be victims of human trafficking.
Kosovo Police Department, either: The Central Sector for Trafficking in Human Being and Directorate for Migration and Foreign Affairs, supported by officials from the Centre for Social Affairs, in 18.08.2020, at the court's order they searched two locations (house) in Pristina, with the goal of verifying that some foreign nationals remain in those homes, who could be potential victims of human trafficking. Police, at those two locations, have encountered 26 (twenties and six) persons, of them 13 children, who were mainly related to households and came from Albania”, said the communique.
Among these people is a suspect from the M.S. (year of birth 1999) Albanian citizens who were co-existing with a Greek citizen of the age of 13. The police in consultation with the prosecutor of the case have initiated criminal co-operation with the person under 16 years of age.
The suspect has been detained for 48 hours, while the victim has been offered shelter and treatment according to the Standard Procedures Director for Trafficking in Human Being Investigations. Also, through I The LEC has been notified by the Greek office in Pristina of their citizens.
And 24 (one and four) other people encountered in those two locations have been treated by police officials from the Directorate for Migration and Foreign Affairs. The same, through PKK Vmica, have returned to Albania.
