He in an interview for public television has expressed disappointment after publishing the information for the Special Court's indictment of Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and PDK leader Kadri Weselin.
I was extremely disappointed when the prosecutor came out last Thursday or Friday with that statement. Now I also question the timing of that statement because President Hashim Thaci was traveling to Washington to attend a summit invited by the White House in an effort to reach a final negotiated solution. So for the prosecutor to make such a statement right then, with the content of such charges, I think that puts both time and motive in question behind that statement”, he said.
Walker has indicated that even current Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq has responsibility for crimes in Kosovo, since he has been minister in the Serbian government.
“He was partly responsible for the job, because he was the government minister who ordered the Serbian security forces to do what they did in Kosovo during 1998-99, and as a result was Recak”, he said.
He has invited prosecutors to investigate for the Serbian president.
Walker has asked Kosovo leaders for unity at this time, which he has called bad for Kosovo.
