He at the Info Magazine of Kosovo has said France wants to make sure that the same scenario that has occurred in many countries, after visa liberalisation, in Kosovo, is not going to happen.
The “has been discussed on the visa issue undoubtedly, because it is the ongoing insistence of all, the current prime minister, but even earlier. President [Emmanuel] Macro was very open about this. The whole issue is that because of the various pasts and troubles that have resulted from the future, they simply want to be vigilant so that they do not repeat situations where people obtain visas and then seek asylum. That's the matter”.
“A very important point has been agreed on in the next quarter to form teams from the two interior ministries, because these are the main institutions at this stage in order to deal with issues of interest. Prime Minister [Avdullah] Hoti said we are willing to do this today, because we are clear on Kosovo's side. It is not enough to say that the criteria have been met, because they have been met, but to show that we are able to prove that we are ready for that” decision.
What is the political message Kosovo has conveyed to Paris?
Kosovo's “Delegation has managed to transmit key political messages, but also technical dimensions, for three-four main areas. The issue of European integration perspective. Kosovo is not a place with another orientation. We are Europe. This was the starting point”.
“As far as visa liberalisation is concerned, we are ready and will do all that can eventually be required additional to strengthen the credibility of Kosovo achievements”.
“As for dialogue as a difficult topic, Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti has been very clear that we are for the process. It's not a new process that better resumes, but the outcome must be recognition. It doesn't make sense for a decade to be discussed on car signs. This should not be the phase of the dialogue that will deal with such things”.
Murtezaj has said there has been no condition against Kosovo to get visa liberalisation.
There were no such discussions, no preconditions, no conditions. I know it's been discussed when it would be a reward-free fee. There were no such conditions”.
“All that has been discussed has been the vigilance and credibility of the data so that the situations that have happened to Europe in the past with other countries”.
Murtezaj has said the French president has welcomed Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti's invitation to visit Kosovo.
He has expressed confidence that Emmanuel Macron will visit Kosovo once such is possible in line with his agenda.
“Emmanul Macro highly welcomed the invitation Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti made. It was not just a curious welcome just to say yes, but it will be worked in this direction that whenever President Macron's agenda fits in the future, he will come to visit Kosovo”.
