KEDS invests 16.5m euros in Pristina, exposed cables will be introduced underground

KED Director Alper Erbas stressed that in the period of 6 months of this year, the investment made by KED in Pristina will be completed.
“Investation will be 16.5m euros where the entire capital will be infected. 95 thousand consumers across Pristina of over 120 thousand consumers will benefit from these investments. We'll have more stable energy and tubes that are prepared for cables that will be underground”, Erbas stressed.
Pristina Mayor Shpend Ahmeti has said that besides eliminating exposed cables, alternative energy will be provided for Pristina citizens.
“We are on surveillance or monitoring of the works KED is doing in the Pristina municipality, which is making an investment of more than 17m euros in improving the situation in Pristina in some areas, such as improving the supply of electricity of 10 kv to 20 kv that offers stable electricity to our citizens. The second is that exposed cables will be placed underground, which are now dangerous to residents because they are exposed. And the third, which is important, is that nearly 100 thousand people with these investments will be offered alternative supply”, Ahmeti said.
Electricity distribution company, KEDS has invested and is still investing in other municipalities in the country.
