The Tornado follows a maximum wind speed of 120.7 km per hour and is currently destroying the southeastern parts of the Bahamas and the Turkish Islands and Caicos, the US National Hurricane Centre (NHC) said at Titter.
NHC says heavy rains can hit South, Central and Eastern Florida late tonight and eastern parts of North and South Carolina by next week, causing floods in the lower areas.
“Site is very variable,” said DeSantis at a press conference.
“Now is the right time to prepare the backpack for emergencies, if you don't already have it,” he added.
Public beaches, parks and golf courses will also be closed Friday.
Isaiah is strengthened and falls into the first category of storms, though he was designed to reach the second category. It is projected to mainly affect the central and eastern parts of Florida, before continuing in the north.
