Bosnian analyst: Both EU and US have disappointed Kosovo in dialogue

Bosnian analyst Jasmin Mujanovic in an article published in BIRN has talked about dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, and the actions of Brussels and Washington along the process. “Judging by last week's events, Brussels and Washington are, if anything else, undermining diplomatic efforts to each other in the region. “Judging by last week's events, Brussels and Washington are, if anything else, undermining diplomatic efforts to each other in the region. This is as much a reflection of the division that exists between Pristina and Belgrade, as much as of the emerging link between the US and EU and the wider architecture of the Atlantic Order”, Mujanovic wrote.
Mujanovic considers that even though the meeting, called by Richard Green in Washington that was to be held on 27 June, failed, Brussels' policy faced dialogue in the last decade has been stupid.
Mujanovic has written that Kosovo is in political combat. According to him, the political scene in Kosovo is more vibratory than in Serbia and lacks the cohesion of Vuciqi's autocratic regime. However, Mujanovic believes that for now the situation in Kosovo is chaotic.
Kosovo's “Situate is chaotic, and may even be characterised as a crisis of legitimacy, as it is hard to imagine any government in the near future that will have the mandate needed to sign a binding agreement with Belgrade”, Mujanovic writes away.
Stressing the fact that after Vuciqi's triumph in Serbia's recent elections, the latter already has no functional institutional opposition, Mujanovic has declared that this leads towards increasing the anti-democratic train there, where, along with their regime in Bosnia Serbia, becomes entity with the most authoritarian regime in the Western Balkans.
