Sunlights can kill the coronavirus in just 30 minutes, according to a new study.
Virologists found that powerful ultraviolet light (UV) could destroy 90 per cent of Covid-19 coming out of coughing or sneezing on a surface for just half an hour, British media broadcast news.
Separate studies have stated that the sun can almost completely kill parts of the virus that remain in the air in just six minutes.
The virus that causes the Devi-19 ʹ disease called SARS-CoV-2 is covered in a protective layer degrading in sunlight exposure. The UV light will destroy its material and allow the virus to be exposed, dry, and rot in the sun.
Some scientists also believe that vitamin D created in the body when exposed to sunlight strengthens the immune system and helps combat viruses.
Researchers say that staying outside protects them more than staying inside.
