Gjilan Community Deputy Chairman Arber Ismajli has told Gazeta Express that today it is not allowed to take suspected samples for COVID-19 in this municipality.
No sample has been taken today. We're not allowed to take samples in Gjilan. The regional public health centre today has not received a sample, due to an announcement from the IKSHPK and MST”, Ishmael said.
Ismaili said the results of samples received from June 19th to 21st have not been released yet.
“We are awaiting close to 100 samples that were taken for testing on June 19, 20th and 21st, their results have not yet emerged”, Ismajli said.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry today has clarified the recommendation for updateing the testing strategy.
Through a communiqué to the media, this institution has suggested that all hospitalised cases at the Infectious Clinic and departments dedicated to patients with COVID-19, health personnel with signs and symptoms of infection, as well as personnel with close and vulnerable contact with the infected.
Tests will also be subjected to all close contacts of the 19-positive person COVID, who have signs and symptoms of this disease, older people and chronically ill people, and all suspected clinical signs in the community or closed institutions (schools, hospitals, homes of elders, prisons).
