Over 100 workers of the Kosovo Energy Corporation(KEK) today protested at the thermal power plant “Kosovo B” to seek the former chief's return to work, Najazi Thaci and former Deputy Director Nyret Kelmendi.

After straining the situation with the security of this corporation, protesters forced the door to be introduced into the court of the Termocentral Plant “Kosovo B” and to protest as they had warned two days earlier.

While, following police intervention, Faket Selmani from the Initiator Council of Workers KEK and the other member of this Council, Muhamet Selmani, former Asamblist The PDK, has been accompanied to the police who probably had no permission to protest within KEK's environments.

Fakes Selmani from this council initially sought to be allowed to protest in the KEK court, said it is fair to protest the return to work by Njazi Thaci, who was fired from the new board on 24 March.

The whole move we've got to call me, so it's not a corporation of individuals or a board, corporate is a working class. We have the right to show our displeasure, we are violently not wanting to enter, but if we are not allowed, we take further steps. If anyone gets infected with Coddy, you take responsibility because you collected them, not me. You're not letting us in, we've collected. We let him in, where we assigned him. Whatever happens there is where I take”, Selman stressed.

He asked the board and new Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti to return Chief Chief Chief Djazi Thaci to work, as well as to respect the Labour Inspectorate's decision.

We seek from Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, the promise he has made for profitable companies, to turn decisions to zero point. Given that the Energy Corporation is with positive performance and the record result is thanks to the body's cooperation from workers to KEK management staff. We seek from KEK's provisional board, to respect the Labour Inspectorate' decision to return to work Njazi Thaci in the eight-day term, or our company will be fined because it does not respect the decisions of Kosovo state”, he said.

Selmani also takes on the hard work of [KEK workers, said Njazi Thaci has been the hero “top hero” of this company with positive performance in the company.

If we're heroes according to KEK executive director, then he's a work hero, Njazi Thaci. Let's not forget that the most valuable asset is us KEK workers. We provide our wages with our daily work, our sweat. We also work where there are toxic gases, vibrations, dust, and mud. Only last year have 20 workers died of serious illness, and today we have no right to protest the return of our colleagues, even though we have 2,000 and 500 original signatures and petition”, Selmani claims.

He said that if the Inspectorate's decision on getting back to work is not respected until June 8th, from Tuesday KEK workers will begin the pre-direction to “Toskana”.

After the police forces intervened, protesters scattered quietly.
