The loyal forces of the Southern Kalimtar Council, which declared autonomy at Aden in April this year, took control of the need with the huge amount of money after it left the port. So the Yemen Central Bank announced through a statement.
A government source said the kidnapped bank notes were produced in Russia with the order of Yemen's Central Bank. Another government source said the money was sent to a military base in what it called piracy.
“This action is part of several measures to end the sources of corruption and prevent the use of public money for support of terrorism”, a statement by the South Economic Council says.
