Hoti has been confirmed on Wednesday as prime minister with the vote of 61 deputies, but his predecessor, Albin Kurti, has rejected the constitutionality of the entire process of choosing the new government. Illegally called it Government. And Thursday has reiterated the call for early elections.
“The elections are our political goal, because the elections are the violated democratic principle”, Kurti said after signing a petition that requires citizens to offer the opportunity to decide who should rule with the country after its collapse with no confidence motion, the KOHA reports.
The new prime minister has not been in the office long, and immediately, in the morning hours, he has held his first meeting with the government cabinet. It was a solemn meeting.
In the 20-member cabinet, Prime Minister Hoti has said the new government is under obligation to give breath to internal democracy in respect of rule and law, and to be submitted only to the country's Constitution. He has said he will work together on implementing a government programme among all coalition partners, being accountable to all Kosovo deputies, position and opposition, and placing a new discours on the political scene in the country.
